5 Podcasts You Need to Listen to NOW.

Updated: Dec 9, 2020

If you do not listen to podcasts, stop what you're doing, find one, and listen!

They are great and there are so many to pick from it's hard to not find something you like.

Best part, they're free! (unless you pay for a premium subscription)

They're so much better than watching videos for me because I can listen in the car, while doing yard work, cleaning, working my computer, etc, without having to stay focused watching the video.

Don't know what to the start listening to or just want to mix up your current podcast library?

Here are my top 5 podcasts:

1) Goal Digger Podcast

The Goal Digger Podcast comes from business guru, Jenna Kutcher.

She is a self-made millionaire, entrepreneur, wife, mother, and #aeriereal partner.

Jenna spends each episode giving you constructive advice, life stories, and inspiration through her own stories and through interviews with other amazing women (and some men).

While the focus of this podcast is business and entrepreneurship, Jenna doesn't stray away from talking about the hard stuff like loss, grief, self-image, dealing with haters, multi-cultural issues, and feminism.

Did I mention she has the cutest baby ever!?!

Even if you're not looking for business advice, anyone can gain something from Jenna Kutcher and her Goal Digger Podcast.

2) A Beautiful Mess Podcast

Sisters and founders of A Beautiful Mess, Elsie and Emma, are the hosts of this podcast.

You may have heard of the A Beautiful Mess blog or some of the apps they've created like, a ColorStory.

On the podcast they are down-to-earth, real, and funny.

They bring lifestyle and DIY to a whole new level and share their stories, advice, and experiences on their podcast. This is a newer podcast so it will be easy to binge right through the episodes.

You'll eagerly be waiting for the next one like me!

3) Office Ladies Podcast

If you're a fan of The Office (US) then you probably already know about this podcast.

If you're not a fan of The Office, stop reading this blog post, go binge watch all 9 seasons and then come back! It's one of the best shows ever created.

Join actors Jenna Fischer (Pam) and Angela Kinsey (Angela), as they dive into each episode revealing behind the scenes facts and stories, sharing their experiences, and interviewing fellow casts members!

It is so much fun to hear them discuss little known things about the show and makes you really look at it in a such a different way.

When you learn how much thought goes into every aspect of the show, even something as simple as Pam Beasley's hairstyle, you really gain respect for the creators, writers, producers, directors, cast, and crew of this epic show.

4) Grow Yourself Podcast

Even if you're not an avid gardener, you can gain something from the Grow Yourself Podcast with Nicole Burke.

Nicole is a gardener, garden coach, and author of Kitchen Garden Revival: A Modern Guide to Creating a Stylish, Small-scale, Low-maintenance, Edible Garden.

Nicole uses this podcast to teach us to start looking at our food differently, where it comes from, what it takes to get to our kitchen, and to realize the benefits of growing your own food.

She spends some episodes focusing on one type of plant, cucumbers for example, and goes into the history, nutrition, how they are grown and shipped today, and so much more. It's amazing the things you never knew about the food you eat.

And if you're saying, "hold up Alexis, I'm never going to be a gardener, I can't keep anything alive", I'm going to tell you that Nicole addresses that too by reminding us that there really is no such thing as a green thumb (unless you've actually had your hands stained by green plants) and that ANYBODY can grow a kitchen garden.

5) All the Wiser Podcast

This podcast was created by journalist, Kimi Culp.

In each episode she interviews individuals with amazing stories to tell. Stories of survival, growth, change, pain, loss, and celebration.

Stories of suicide survivors, individuals dealing with long-term illnesses, heroes who helped others, and she even interviewed the son of a terrorist.

The stories will give you chills. They will inspire you and change your outlook on life and humanity.

They are heavy stories, but they are amazing to listen to.

I hope you find some enjoyment in these podcasts.

Let me know if you have any podcast suggestions!
